Just Play, a Sport for Development program in Kerala, focussed on the social issues of Sanitation/Hygiene & Gender equality through football. The curriculum had a series of 16 highly fun & interactive football sessions to teach important messages on these objectives to our children.
Just Play in Kerala was coordinated by FFA (Football Federation Australia), AIFF (All India Football Federation) & implemented under the leadership of Kerala Football Association with the assistance of OFC (Oceania Football Confederation) in partnership with the Australian Government & UEFA Foundation for Children.
The prime intention of all our stakeholders was to develop the project in Ernakulam, Kerala & then successfully launch it as a Pan-India project through Mumbai.
Just Play Mumbai
The successful implementation of Just Play in Ernakulam convinced & motivated OFC & FFA to initiate a pilot run of the program in Mumbai. The Just Play team (Project Manager & two instructors) from Kerala were part of the first Just Play instructors’ training in Mumbai from 13-16 Feb, 2017 to learn & share their project experiences/challenges in Kerala. The project is currently being developed into a Pan-India project at Mumbai under the supervision of the All India Football Federation.
